AI could also support more accessible learning experiences when tools are designed around different ages and needs. However, these remain possibilities rather than guaranteed benefits. Their value depends on ethical validation, sound pedagogical design and meaningful human control.
Boomer Perspective
The optimistic view sees AI making learning websites more responsive and engaging. Instead of giving every learner the same sequence of material, a site could use AI to support more individualized routes through a subject. Conversational systems could offer immediate assistance, while generative tools could help educators develop curricula, lessons and research activities.

Both perspectives identify real design choices. Optimists are right that generative AI opens creative possibilities across curriculum design, teaching, learning and research. Pessimists are better supported where they emphasize present readiness: AI versions are advancing rapidly, while regulation and institutional validation are lagging.
The sensible path is neither automatic adoption nor blanket rejection. Learning websites should test whether AI produces safe, ethical, equitable and educationally meaningful outcomes. They should protect privacy, examine reliability and bias, preserve academic integrity, and keep educators involved in consequential decisions.
